I have attached a photo of an example volt stick. You can find these at any hardware store such as Lowes, Home Depot, Ace…
When using a volt stick to verify electricity is on/off use these common guidelines:
· On the exterior test at an electric outlet, light fixture, doorbell, or a/c unit.
· Do not test at the electric meter as there may be electricity running to the meter, but not into the house.
· On the interior you can test electric outlet or breaker box.
